Happy Friday, all! I am not entirely sure where the first half of September went -- it sort of swirled into a black hole and it's suddenly the middle of the month. How does that even happen?
Game of Thrones got you down? Waiting in despair for Doors of Stone? Do you fear getting caught up in a fantastical world and then discovering that the series isn’t complete yet? The fantasy genre has loads of books and subgenres to offer, as well as authors with varying writing speeds. Below are a few of my favourite fantasy series that are complete and totally binge-able.
The fantasy genre is notorious for its long series and hefty books. As a long-time fantasy reader, there are so many series that I just haven’t managed to finish. I decided to highlight a few of these unfinished series, along with some non-fantasy series, for Top Ten Tuesday, as The Broke and the Bookish is on hiatus. I’m only listing series I’d like to finish rather than ones I decided to quit (looking at you, Dresden Files).
TBR Thursday is one of my favorite weekly posts from Bionic Book Worm’s lovely blog, so I thought I’d try my hand at it. If you aren’t following her yet, well, you really should be. Not only does she do great reviews and bookish posts, she's an all-around lovely person. You can find her blog here! All credit for this idea and the stunning TBR Thursday graphic go to her!
So, I have a problem. When I like something, I’ll go completely overboard and love it to death. If I like a song, I’ll play it on repeat until I cannot stand to listen any longer (1997 was a tough year – to this day I cannot listen to ‘My Heart Will Go On’ because Little Justine just loved it so much). It turns out, I do the same thing with books.
Series are popular for authors and publishers, every genre book that's released lately seems to be part of a series. But what do readers prefer?

I stumbled upon this on Panic at the Bookstore's fantastic blog, and loved it! I don't know where this originated (if you do go ahead and send me a link so I can credit) and many thanks to Trang and Lashaan @bookidote for the great graphics. A book you found interesting but would like to rewrite I recently read … Continue reading Harry Potter Book Tag
