I spent a good portion of yesterday convinced it was Wednesday. Where has this week gone? No, seriously. Where? September is absolutely flying by and I cannot believe it! Fortunately, we have books to keep us sane during these crazy months.
So here’s something a little different for you guys. I was offered a copy of the Royal Wedding Colouring Book by Adam Rushton in exchange for an honest review. Now, I’m not obsessed with the Royals -- I think this younger generation is nice and the rest are sort of useless -- but you know that I have to represent Meghan when she gets married tomorrow! What pairs best with prosecco and judging everyone’s outfit choices? Some therapeutic colouring, of course.
Hello everyone! If you haven't been following me on social media, you may not know that my ultimate childhood dreams were achieved (short of actually getting my Hogwarts letter) -- I got to go to the Harry Potter studios in London! For those who do not know, the Warner Brothers studios in Watford were the location for many of the scenes from the Harry Potter films. This is where they shot the majority of the films, where the actors essentially lived, and where the amazing crews brought the magic of Harry Potter to life. They've preserved many of the sets and reproduced a few others and opened the studio to the public! You can stroll down Diagon Alley, throw open the doors of the Great Hall, peek into Dumbledore's office, and more. I had heard such amazing things about the studio tour and was so excited when Author Sister gave Scottish Fiance and I tickets for Christmas!
Happy Friday! My weekly wrap-ups went missing from the blog for the entire month of February. I was so busy with life stuff that I just didn’t get around to them. Also, there was a complete lack of internet in the new flat until this week. So here is the triumphant return of my weekly wrap-up posts! It’s a long one -- buckle up!
I’m so thrilled to be participating in the Now We Rise blog tour! As you have probably heard, Children of Blood and Bone is the new YA fantasy novel that is taking the world by storm. I was lucky enough to read a proof copy of this book, and it’s safe to say I was blown away. As I gather my thoughts to write my review, I thought I’d share this quiz!
Happy Friday! The weather is finally getting cold here in the UK -- I have to wear a scarf to work! Winter is truly coming, you guys, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Unfortunately with winter comes colds. I’ve been behind on reading and things due to an icky cold that knocked out my entire team -- I was the last to get it. Despite that, I did do a bit of reading this week.
So it’s nearly the end of the year, and I’m struggling a little to come up with a TBR strategy for this month! Usually I have a good idea of what I want to accomplish, but this month there are a bunch of things on my mind.
Hi all! Despite it being a weird month, I got some serious reading done. Victober was a bit of a disaster, as I finished absolutely zero Victorian novels this month! Due to real life circumstances, I was just not in the mood for that kind of fiction. Instead, I ended up reading lots of science fiction and fantasy -- escapist books. I also acquired far too many books, as per usual (I'm sure no one is surprised).
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone's weekend has been fabulous. I'm a little late with Instagram Sunday this week. I'm going to be honest -- it's because Stranger Things is finally back! So without any further ado, here's the past few weeks in Instagram posts.
Happy Friday! I can’t believe how quickly this week has gone, but I feel like I say that every Friday. This has been a really great week for reading, even though it may not look like it. I had some great bookish surprises come through, let’s take a look!
