Reading Wrap-Up: May 2019

I'm pretty sure I've fallen into some sort of time slip. While April seemed to drag on and on, the month of May flew by in a flash. Despite being busy (as usual) and reading some longer books this month, I still managed to read ten books (and DNFed two), and I'm so proud. The slump is officially over!  Hooray!

Book Review: Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

I don’t really know where to start with this review. I picked up Nine Perfect Strangers because I really enjoyed Big Little Lies and trusted Moriarty to write a sharp and compelling book. Where Big Little Lies is a well-structured page turner, Nine Perfect Strangers is a complete and utter mess. I was honestly shocked by the decline in quality!

Book Review: An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole

It has been a long time since I’ve read historical romance, despite it being a favourite genre of mine, and I've been craving it lately. Pretty much everything that I have read in historical romance has been set in Regency or Victorian England, and I needed to read something different while in a reading slump last month. I thought I’d branch out to Alyssa Cole’s Civil War-era Loyal League series. An Extraordinary Union has high stakes, gripping tension, and fantastic characters and I just loved it.

Weekly Reading Wrap-Up: 24 May 2019

Excuse me, I seem to have lost the entire month of May. Seriously, where did May go? I feel like April lasted forever and now the universe is trying to correct itself by moving at warp speed through May. Just me? Maybe? Okay. I've been reading quite a lot lately, but it doesn't necessarily reflect in my progress because I've been a little firmer about DNFing books! Take a look at my week is reading below.
