I confess that I’m not much of a graphic novel reader, however sometimes one comes along that captures my interest. I don’t often have a huge amount to say about graphic novels, so I’m doing two mini reviews of two very different books today!
Today I’m bringing you three flash reviews for books that are not even remotely related. Why are they in this post together? Because they were all incredibly quick and short reads -- one is a graphic novel and the other two are novellas. Take a look below at my thoughts on Ragged Alice by Gareth L. Powell, The Tea Master and the Detective by Aliette de Bodard, and The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jenn Wang.
I love true crime, but I tend to get my true crime fix from podcasts rather than books. I want to amend this and have recently been keeping an eye out for interesting titles. I have heard great things about My Friend Dahmer, which has recently been made into a film, and decided to pick it up. While I wouldn’t call it true crime, it offers fascinating insight into the early life of one of America’s most notorious serial killers.
