Book Review: Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

There’s a good chance you’ve heard of Children of Blood and Bone -- it has taken the publishing world by storm.  With hype surrounding this book literally from the moment it sold, I think it makes sense to be cautious -- most of us have been burned by hype before.  However, I’m here to tell you that this book is worth every ounce of hype it has earned and more. It has taken me almost two months to write this review because 1) I just couldn’t quite translate my feelings on this book into real words and 2) I wanted this to be a well-rounded review instead of a gushing one.

March 2018 TBR

I have decided to do something a little bit different with my TBR this month.  I’ll usually have about 12-15 books on my TBR to give myself a little variety during the month, but that means I usually don’t finish them.  February was a little bit of a disaster in terms of my TBR for a number of reasons, so I’ve decided to roll over my January and February TBR’s into a single month.

Blog Tour: Children of Blood and Bone

I’m so thrilled to be participating in the Now We Rise blog tour!  As you have probably heard, Children of Blood and Bone is the new YA fantasy novel that is taking the world by storm.  I was lucky enough to read a proof copy of this book, and it’s safe to say I was blown away. As I gather my thoughts to write my review, I thought I’d share this quiz!

Weekly Wrap-Up: 19 January 2017

Happy Friday!  Another week has come and gone, and it has been an absolute rollercoaster for me for a number of reasons.  While I can’t say anything about the BEST news (although I’ve been tweeting about it in shouty capitals), we’ve had something awesome happen this week.  It’s not book related, but you’ll hear about it soon enough! Otherwise, you’ll see below that it was an amazing week for books.
