Happy Friday! Today is a particularly special Friday because it’s my birthday. I’ve made it to 30 and still don’t feel like an adult. How?? I suspect that at this point, I’ll never be a proper grown up. I also had three pieces of cake for breakfast and am bouncing off the walls -- that probably doesn’t help. This has been a pretty good week for reading and an amazing week for book post! Let’s dive in.
Happy Friday everyone! How is May almost over? Seriously, how? You all may have noticed (or not) that I haven’t been great about updating here for a couple of weeks. I took a mini-hiatus due to some serious stress popping up, but that's all sorted now! Exciting new to come. Back to business as usual!
Hello everyone! If you haven't been following me on social media, you may not know that my ultimate childhood dreams were achieved (short of actually getting my Hogwarts letter) -- I got to go to the Harry Potter studios in London! For those who do not know, the Warner Brothers studios in Watford were the location for many of the scenes from the Harry Potter films. This is where they shot the majority of the films, where the actors essentially lived, and where the amazing crews brought the magic of Harry Potter to life. They've preserved many of the sets and reproduced a few others and opened the studio to the public! You can stroll down Diagon Alley, throw open the doors of the Great Hall, peek into Dumbledore's office, and more. I had heard such amazing things about the studio tour and was so excited when Author Sister gave Scottish Fiance and I tickets for Christmas!
So this is incredibly short notice, but bear with me. I feel like life has been just so crazy lately that I haven’t really had the time to sit down with a book and relax. I’ve really missed my leisurely reading time! So, what to do about this? Fortunately my realisations come at a very convenient time. Easter falls during this coming weekend, and I have no plans. Why not do a mini readathon?
I’m so thrilled to be participating in the Now We Rise blog tour! As you have probably heard, Children of Blood and Bone is the new YA fantasy novel that is taking the world by storm. I was lucky enough to read a proof copy of this book, and it’s safe to say I was blown away. As I gather my thoughts to write my review, I thought I’d share this quiz!
Hello all you wonderful readers! I decided to do something a little different this month for my TBR -- I let Scottish Fiance choose what I will read. I picked out the books I know I need to read this month and let him choose the rest. Was I worried? Absolutely. Did I need to be? Well...kind of, yes.
Happy Friday! Another week has come and gone, and it has been an absolute rollercoaster for me for a number of reasons. While I can’t say anything about the BEST news (although I’ve been tweeting about it in shouty capitals), we’ve had something awesome happen this week. It’s not book related, but you’ll hear about it soon enough! Otherwise, you’ll see below that it was an amazing week for books.
Happy Friday! I cannot believe another week has come and gone already. I meant to have this up a few hours ago, but I forgot to schedule it in -- oops! It has been pretty slow goings in terms of reading this week, but I'm honestly okay with that! I've been reading a fair few things and I'm relaly enjoying most of them.
Happy Friday! The first work week of the year is very nearly over and I'm so glad! I've had some serious trouble adjusting from Holiday Justine back into Real Person Justine. Holiday Justine eats lots of food, sleeps all day, and stays up all night. Holiday Justine doesn't really interact with other humans.
Happy Friday! Only two more weeks until I head home for the Christmas holiday. While I am filled with holiday cheer (and over excitement), I’ve been happily plowing my way through my December TBR. I managed to finish three books this week between Christmas parties, lunches, wrapping, and decorating. I’m kind of impressed with myself.
