Skyward was one of my favourite books of 2018 from one of my favourite authors. Brandon Sanderson never fails to write an engaging and exciting book, and his shift from adult fantasy into YA science fiction was an absolute delight. Naturally, I was beyond excited to read the sequel, Starsight. While I really enjoyed this second book, it did lack some of the charm of its predecessor.

Book Review: Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
Warbreaker was the only adult Brandon Sanderson novel I hadn’t read yet (until Oathbringer came out, that is), and I have no idea why I never bothered to pick it up. Going in, I didn’t even know what it as about because I trust Sanderson enough to jump in without reading the synopsis. So imagine my absolute delight when I discovered that Warbreaker is a princess novel. That’s right, a princess novel. From Brandon Sanderson. Why did no one tell me this? I listened to the fantastic audiobook and would highly recommend it.
October and November 2018 Reading Wrap-Up
Hi. This is a bit late. October was an absolutely crazy month, then NaNoWriMo took over my life in November. During these two months, I took a little bit of a step back from reading, blogging, videoing, Instagramming, everything. On the bright side, I did rediscover my burning love of Star Trek and started actually watching TV. Oh, and I actually wrote something for the first time in my life. Who would have thought?
Blog Tour: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Brandon Sanderson is an author I trust completely. I will buy every single one of his books because I know I will like them. When I heard that he was writing his very first science fiction novel, I was so incredibly excited. My expectations for this novel were sky high (heh) and I have to say that Spensa and the gang absolutely smashed those expectations.
Book Review: Snapshot by Brandon Sanderson
I love a Brandon Sanderson novella. Whether his stories are long or short, he always manages to deliver a solid book with his classic style of ending. I have really only read fantasy from him and was very interested to see what his science fiction stories are like.v
Weekly Wrap-Up: 08 December 2017
Happy Friday! Only two more weeks until I head home for the Christmas holiday. While I am filled with holiday cheer (and over excitement), I’ve been happily plowing my way through my December TBR. I managed to finish three books this week between Christmas parties, lunches, wrapping, and decorating. I’m kind of impressed with myself.
November Reading Round-Up
Hey guys, guess what? It’s December! Already! I feel like November was just a thing that didn’t happen. This year has absolutely flown by and I’m not sure where the time has gone. But now that November is over, it’s time for my monthly reading round-up.
Weekly Wrap-Up: 17 November 2017
Happy Friday! I can’t believe that we’re already more than halfway through November. This year has absolutely flown by and I’m not sure where the time has gone! Fortunately, this also means that Christmas is inching ever closer. It’s nearly time to dust off your ugly Christmas jumpers and make a fool of yourself at your work’s holiday party.
Video: My First Reading Vlog
Hi all! I don't usually post on Saturdays, but I have pulled together my very first reading vlog. You can check out what the cats and I have been up to in life and books this week:
Weekly Wrap-Up #21
Happy Friday, everyone! If you remember last week’s post, I was in a little bit of a slump. I’m pleased to say that I’m slowly clawing my way out of that slump now! I didn’t read a huge amount this week, but it’s better than last week’s whole lot of nothing.
