Despite the fact that it hasn’t been released yet, you may have already heard buzz about The Silent Patient. Set to be one of the biggest thriller debuts of 2019, this book has so much hype surrounding it already. I can’t claim to be an expert on the thrillers, but I absolutely love reading them and find that a great thriller can be one of the most rewarding reading experiences for me. So did The Silent Patient live up to the hype?
The weekend is nearly finished, and I am in denial. Where did the time go? I can't believe it's almost Monday! While I hide under a blanket, here's a round up of this week's Instagram posts.
Happy Sunday! It has been a good week for reading -- YALC is just around the corner and I'm trying to get through as many books as possible before the 28th! Here's this week's Bookstagram posts. I was lucky enough to get a hardcover ARC of Gather the Daughters by Jennie Melamed. I absolutely devoured … Continue reading Instagram Sundays
One Minute Recommendations are flash recommendations of books I think you'll love and why! These will all be books that haven't had a full review on this site yet.

I don’t often participate in memes, but I thought this was one was a great idea! It’s a mid-year look at the best books I’ve read in 2017. Some of them are new, some are older, but they’re all fantastic reads! You can see my full reviews by clicking the links.
I'm a little late today, that's what Minecraft and podcast all day will do to you. Here's a wee round-up of this week in Bookstagram. We made a new best friend. Geri the Ginger Cat lives on a canal boat nearby and is, of course, a great reader. Book post! I'm so excited to be … Continue reading Instagram Sundays
Conjoined twins! Cults! Dystopian San Francisco! Murder! I took one look and realised that this would be a unique read and just ticks so many boxes for me. I was really impressed by this book -- I ended up really enjoying it and am officially a Laura Lam fan.
Happy Sunday! It's absolutely sweltering in England today (and I'm from Southern California), so we are all indoors! I really love the simple cover of Gilded Cage complimented by the brick and the flowers here. I've heard good things about this one, and I'm looking forward to getting going! A sneaky shot of the mini … Continue reading Instagram Sundays
