Hi all! Despite it being a weird month, I got some serious reading done. Victober was a bit of a disaster, as I finished absolutely zero Victorian novels this month! Due to real life circumstances, I was just not in the mood for that kind of fiction. Instead, I ended up reading lots of science fiction and fantasy -- escapist books. I also acquired far too many books, as per usual (I'm sure no one is surprised).
I feel like I’m saying this at the end of every single month, but seriously how is September already over? This year is absolutely flying by! It has been a brilliant month for reading and for blogging. Not only did I land myself on a few publishers's blogger lists, I launched my YouTube channel! I'm not sure how you could miss that fact if you've been frequently reading this blog -- I'm definitely talking about it and linking it constantly -- but if you did, you can find my channel here 🙂
We interrupt your regularly scheduled TBR Thursday to bring you this month’s reading round up! August has come and gone much too quickly if you ask me. I can’t believe fall is almost here! Fall and winter are quickly becoming my favorite seasons. I’m a Southern California girl, but moving to the UK has made me appreciate the colder months. There’s just something about the cool weather – and it’s not just that it’s a great excuse to build a blanket fort and read books with a giant cup of hot chocolate (spoiler alert: my winter plans).
July has come to a close and what a month it has been! I’ve been incredibly busy in my work, personal, and bookish lives. From my holiday to Edinburgh to the absolute insanity of YALC, there has been so much going on and not nearly enough time to read! Regardless, July has been an amazing month for books, so let’s take a look.
The sun is shining, everyone is sneezing, and June is coming to a close. It has been a very gross and sweaty month here in the UK, but has at least resulted in a lot of indoor reading time for me. Let's take a look, shall we?
May is over and it’s time for the best part of the month: the reading round-up. I didn’t achieve my reading goals for the month, however it was still a good one.
It’s my favorite time of the moth! Here’s a look back on my bookish activity this month. Let’s see if I stuck with my April TBR strategy:
