November is coming to a close (?!) and it’s time to pull out the hot water bottles, cuddly blankets, and hot chocolate mix. With the change in weather it really feels like winter time, and winter time means more reading! This post is quite late, but what the heck, it was mostly written anyway. Check out the books I read and acquired since our last update!
Books I read
The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
The Subtle Knife by Phillip Pullman
The Guest List by Lucy Foley
Infinity Son by Adam Silvera
Thunderhead by Neil Schusterman
I read fivebooks this week and a half, which is great, but it was mixed in terms of quality. I liked Queen of Nothing well enough, but wasn’t blown away. The Subtle Knife was the strongest of the week, but definitely suffers from Middle Book Syndrome. The Guest List was great until it sort of fell apart for me at the end. Infinity Son and Thunderhead, however, I greatly enjoyed!
Books I am currently reading
The Whispers of War by Julia Kelly
Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
Dragonslayer by Duncan M. Hamilton
Robots of Dawn by Isaac Asimov
I’m currently reading four books with the temptation to read even more! I am in this weird mood where I feel like I must read all the things all the time. There’s a pretty wide variety here, and nothing has quite taken priority as my main book of the moment! I will, however, likely make that book The Whispers of War.
Books I bought
None. Woohoo!
Books post
Infinity Son by Adam Silvera
Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan
The Good Luck Girls by Charlotte Nicole Davis
Starsight by Brandon Sanderson
I’ve been lucky enough to recieve some amazing book post over the past week or so! Girls of Storm and Shadow was a generous giveaway prize and my friend Nikki sent me a copy of Good Luck Girls (!!). I had requested both Infinity Son and Starsight and they showed up by surprise!
Netgalley approvals
The Shadow Saint by Gareth Hanrahan
The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep by H. G. Parry
Enjoy your reading! I can’t wait to pick up The toll!
I’m currently reading capturing the devil and this mortal coil!

Ah, The Gutter Prayer is definitely one I did not have time to get to this year. I’m reading The Toll right now and man, is this a fantastic series! I need to get to my copy of the sequel for Girls of Paper and Fire…well, I need to get to my copy of a lot of things.😅
