The Royal Wedding Colouring Book by Adam Rushton

So here’s something a little different for you guys. I was offered a copy of the Royal Wedding Colouring Book by Adam Rushton in exchange for an honest review. Now, I’m not obsessed with the Royals — I think this younger generation is nice and the rest are sort of useless — but you know that I have to represent Meghan when she gets married tomorrow! What pairs best with prosecco and judging everyone’s outfit choices? Some therapeutic colouring, of course.
This colouring book is really cute. The first thing I noticed is, of course, that the artist has inserted the Royal couple into various, beloved scenes from Hollywood films.

I love this. Why? It’s doing exactly what it should — it’s making fun of the whole spectacle while also celebrating it. It’s easy to fall on one side or the other, but it’s much more fun and creative to take this route.
The second thing I really love about this is that the illustrations are easy to colour in. I love the idea of those beautiful and intricate adult colouring books, but they stress me the hell out. If I mess up one tiny bit, I feel like I’ve ruined everything. That sort of takes away from the therapeutic qualities, doesn’t it?

I like that this has bold lines and lots of space to colour in this book. It’s a fairly small book, but I think it’s a great size. The pages are easy to fold back and colour as well.
So what did I decide to colour in first? The Queen’s corgi’s, of course.

I really loved this and am so happy I was able to do something a little different for you guys! I’d highly recommend this as a gift for your Royals-obsessed friends (I have a few) or as a little present for yourself. I plan to do some colouring during the wedding tomorrow. Because of course we are watching it.
I have this! Couldn’t wait to break out the pencils haha.

This looks so cute! I’m not particularly interested or disinterested in the royal wedding as a topic, but I must admit that as a biracial girl who doesn’t have very many role models who look like myself to look up to, I’m super thrilled that there will finally be a princess out there who I can relate to! 🙂 That corgi page is adorable.
