Happy weekend! I’ve taken a little break from reading the past few days and it has done me a world of good! Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of books I have to read. Yikes!
Anyway, here’s a round up of this week’s Instagram posts!
I read The Thousandth Floor last week. It has been billed as ’22nd century Gossip Girl’ and it was the Gossip Girl bit I really struggled with! Horrid rich teenagers doing horrid things isn’t really my cup of tea, but I loved the concept of the tower and the technology she invents. I stuck with it and thought it was alright. Great ending though!
I finally took the plunge into Shadow and Bone! Six of Crows is one of my favourites, so I was really looking forward to diving back into the Grishaverse. I tore through this really quickly and liked it, but didn’t love it. I’ve got Siege and Storm queued up to read next though, I’m curious to see how the trilogy continues.
New books and current read as of August’s reading round up!
I reshuffled my towering TBR pile for September. New additions of note include three Mistborn (one reread and two new ones) novels and Wonder Woman: Warbringer (!!!).
Book mail!! I’m going to participate in two blog tours for Sweet Cherry Publishing, and the books arrived yesterday. They look so cute — I love kids books!
That’s it for this week! We are just hanging out and watching movies today, which is exactly what I needed. We are also watching Dax be Dad, which is always amusing.
Omg that video is hilarious! Cats are so weird lol. Your pictures are gorgeous as always!

Followed ya on Twitter and IG (darquedreamer). I really enjoyed Shadow and Bone but still kind of wish I had read the trilogy before the duology because the duology is my favorite!

Followed you back!
I’m feeling the exact same thing about wishing I had read the trilogy first! It feels a little lackluster in comparison to Six of Crows, but I did like it. I’m working on the second book now!

It did feel a little lackluster compared to Six. Still good though, but I don’t know when I will pick up the next book. Happy reading! ❤
