Instagram Sundays

I cannot believe it’s August already!  In the UK, this apparently means it’s time to break out your lighter sweaters and blankets. So get cosy and warm, because it’s time for Instagram Sundays!

I’ve again reshuffled my TBR pile for the month.  I’m participating in the ARC August challenge in an attempt to read down this pile and the stacks of books waiting on my Kindle. There are so many books from YALC here (see my roundup post here for more).

These are a few of the physical books I’m hoping to read this month. I’ve since finished There’s Someone Inside Your House and am currently reading Throne of the Crescent Moon.  I’m thinking Daughter of the Burning City will be next!

I usually save my NetGalley books for lunch time at work, but I couldn’t resist bringing this one in!  I’ve got a review forthcoming on this book.  It’s the first proof from YALC that I’ve picked up and I was a little disappointed.  I’m curious to see what other readers think.

My current read. My book club meets on Friday so I have to make sure I have it done by then!  So far I’m really enjoying it, but haven’t gotten far enough to really have an opinion.

A gentle reminder to myself that I need to get going on my YALC books. I’ve only read two so far and I brought home 37 😐.

My Harry Potter books posing with my new Geeky Clean candle!  I am worried about rereading these childhood favourites. What if they’re not as wonderful as I remember?

It’s not Instagram Sundays without a cat photo. Yesterday marked six years since I brought Sophia home. She has NO sense of personal space (she sleeps on my head), but she’s a fantastic reading companion.

That’s it for this week!  Follow me on Instagram for these photos plus my Instagram stories (usually quite cat-heavy).

Are you on Instagram?  Do you have a bookish account?  Let me know in the comments, I’d love to follow you!

    1. Cat on cat!! She’s much better about posing than the other kitty. She runs away when she sees me approaching with a book!

I think that’s my favorite! I didn’t really understand the book candle thing until I bought a couple. Now I’m all about them!

  1. I was only saying earlier today that I think we’ve had our summer here in the UK! I think I’m going to have to get one of my bigger duvets out soon. It was so cold last night it was unreal!
It’s really weird seeing ‘Throne of the Crescent Moon’ because I know I’ve read it. I remember reading it when I was in third year at uni…I just can’t remember if I liked it or not 😛

    1. So chilly, so rainy! I can’t believe it’s like this in August.

HA! I have a couple of books like that. I know I’ve read them but I can’t tell you a thing about them, including whether or not I actually liked them.
