June has come to a close and July has just begun. It’s time for Instagram Sundays, featuring the week’s photos from my Bookstagram account.
I still haven’t read The Hate U Give, and I sometimes feel like the only person who hasn’t read it yet! It’s high on my list of priorities for July.
My kind of pub! I went out with a friend for a post-work drink, and I absolutely loved the decor. There are old books everywhere!
I am back into full Lord of the Rings mode. As I every-so-slowly read through the trilogy again, I’m reminded of how much I absolutely love the books.
When the kid wants to snuggle, you drop everything and snuggle. She sat directly on my dress and tried to pin me down. I almost missed the bus to work.
July TBR! I reshuffled my entire pile in an attempt to freshen things up for the coming month. A lot of these books are ones I got in my birthday book haul.
The books from my Ninja Book Box rep box! They work with independent publishers and businesses for their content, which is pretty awesome.
That’s it for this week! Are you on Instagram? Comment with your handle, I’d love to follow you. If you want to find me on Instagram, you can check me out here.
Lol explain that one to the boss! I’m sorry I’m late. I was stuck petting my cat……
Lol!!!! 😂

At my old job we did have a lady who would show up 1-2 hours late because of cat related things! I would have had to go to her for guidance 🤣

A fellow LotR fan AND born in June? Where have you been all my life? 😂 Seriously though, your pictures look amazing! I’m not on Instagram as I don’t take a ton of pictures of myself and I don’t have a lot of physical books to photograph. Not to mention that I personally think I do a very bad job of it anyway. If I do enter into that realm, I’ll be sure to follow you though. 🙂 Also, your cat seems absolutely precious. I love cats but don’t have one because my family is opposed to the idea of a pet, but maybe someday when I’m on my own. Let’s see! 😊

I can tell that you and I are bound to be friends 😀
Thank you! I absolutely love photography and Instagram is a nice outlet for me. I’m something of a book hoarder, so they’re good models! If you decide to get into it, it can be really fun! I struggled with comparing myself to others who take just gorgeous pictures. But I came into my own style and am really loving it :D.
Thank you! She’s a good girl, but an absolute menace who likes to chew on toes. She’s become close with my other cat, who came over to the UK from New York with me. I can never seem to get a photo of them together, one day!

Photography goals right there. XP You have two of them?! Ah, bliss! 🙂
I’m glad you stopped comparing yourself to others. I think you take gorgeous photos yourself. Go you! 😀 Yup, I agree that books make good models. I just tried a photo shoot for a book haul and they didn’t throw a single tantrum. 😛
Yay! I love meeting new people on the blogosphere who share my interests. I promise to fangirl with you about LotR whenever you want me to. At what point in the story are you in your re-read? I usually do a re-read in September to celebrate Bilbo and Frodo’s birthdays. 🙂

I do! I’m so glad they get along, otherwise our house would be a tense place!
I’d LOVE another person to fan girl about LotR with. I’m going very slowly, still in the first book. I blasted through them the first time I read them and burned out so quickly! I’m trying to be more careful when I reread them :). I had a personal tradition where I read The Hobbit at Christmastime because I got this gorgeous leather bound edition one year. I might have to revive this!

Hey, that’s a beautiful tradition to have! 🙂 A leather-bound edition is something I’d kill to own (kidding, Earthlings). 😅
It’s been the other way round for me. I took three weeks to finish it the first time and I’ve become faster since then. But I usually take a minimum of two weeks because I want to savour each and every word. Why not when it’s perfection on page? 😊

It’s really gorgeous, I love it so much! It has some illustrations in it as well.
Ha! I absolutely tear through books — I’m such a fast reader and it’s hard to slow down. But I have to force myself to with these because you’re right, you’ve got to savour each word!

I absolutely love these photos! And is that a pusheen lamp?? It is adorable!
I just started reading The Hate U Give. It is amazing so far 🙂
Right now, I’ve been doing a lot of reading on Kindle. You are making a convincing case for going back to buying actual books 🙂
Cheers,
Sophie

It is a Pusheen lamp! I have a small obsession with Pusheen 🐺.
I’m so looking forward to reading The Hate U Give. I’ve been meaning to get to it for months but just haven’t had the chance yet.
I read on Kindle and physical books, but nothing can beat the physical copies for me! I just love the look and feel of them.
