This is what I’ve been up to this month! Buckle up, I spent a lot of time in bookshops.

Books read:
The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Luna: Wolf Moon by Ian McDonald
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers
I only read six books this month, down from 12 in February! I think Luna: Wolf Moon was what held me back. It was amazing, but definitely a slower read. I also had a DNF for this month, The House of Mountfathom, which I reviewed here.
Overall it was a decent month! I’ve yammered on about how much I loved The Collapsing Empire and disliked Heartless on the blog already. Reviews are forthcoming for the Six of Crows duology and A Closed and Common Orbit (spoiler alert: they both made me cry).
Currently reading:
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence
1666 by Rebecca Rideal
I’m so glad I got my paws on an ARC of Red Sister. I’m just over 20% in and it is absolutely fantastic! Lawrence has really grown as a writer since Prince of Thorns and his work just keeps getting better. I’ve only just started 1666, but it looks fantastic. I’ve started reading more nonfiction as of 2016 and am really enjoying diving into history.
Books bought:
That Woman by Anne Seba

At what point does this get embarrassing? Should I be embarassed? This was supposed to be No Buy March. Ha. I ended up with 16 new books. My TBR pile is actually getting to the point where I’ll get seriously hurt if it falls on my head while I’m sleeping. Someone send help. Please.
Books obtained through other means:
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood (lent to me by my fabulous coworker)
Find Me by J. S. Monroe (Free from London Book Fair)
1666 by Rebecca Rideal (book subscription from Hatchards)
That’s it, folks! Have you read any of these? What do you recommend? Let me know!
I am currently reading Ink by Alice Broadway, and I’m really enjoying it so I would love to hear your thoughts when you’ve read it!

It has such a gorgeous cover that I had to pick it up! I’m glad you’re liking it, maybe I’ll bump it up my list 🙂

I’d really like to read The Devonshires as well as That Woman. Both seem to be right in my sweet spot of social history/biography.

The Devonshires looks fantastic! I’m looking forward to diving into it. That Woman is problematic, which I plan to angrily post about soon.

I finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet a few months ago and loved it! I can’t wait to get to the sequel myself!
